This abandoned mansion was left frozen in time… but the story behind it doesn’t feel right.
Deep in the countryside, we came across this incredible abandoned house — a true time capsule where everything was left behind. From a vintage Mercedes sitting untouched, to personal belongings, photographs, and rooms that look like someone just walked out… this place holds memories that were never meant to fade.
But as we explored deeper… the story became more unsettling.
The man who once lived here was known for his music — a talented jazz player, and some say even a well-known performer. But his past is where things take a darker turn.
Some say he was taken from Africa…
Others believe he was brought over against his will…
And some say none of that is true at all.
What we do know… is that he eventually built a life here in France.
A life filled with music, love, and a place he could finally call his own.
After everything he may have been through… he found peace.
But then… everything stopped.
The house was left exactly as it was.
His belongings still remain.
His story… left behind.
So what really happened here?
Was his past something he could never truly escape?
Or is there a completely different truth hidden within these walls?
This isn’t just an abandoned mansion…
This is a life, a story, and a mystery that still hasn’t been answered.

How much did my abandoned tiny house cost, and is it on Airbnb are the two questions I’ve been getting asked the most, so here are the answers.

The house cost me £55,386.
The renovation work was £62,708.
The kitchen, windows, doors, and furniture was £19,462.
Solicitor and admin costs were £11,968.
And to get water and sewage connected, it was £8,319.

Here’s the broken down costs if you want to pause.

Overall, it cost me £157,844, but the house has since been valued at offers over £170,000 which is crazy, but it’s a unique property in an expensive area.

The second question people had was, is it on Airbnb?

The people of TikTok were annoyed at me for this, but it is on Airbnb.

I did live in the tiny house for two years, then moved out and started renovating another old building which I now live in, and the Airbnb helped fund that renovation. I was also able to hire my Mum to manage the Airbnb so that’s been nice.

I’ve found that people get divided about it being on Airbnb with some people calling me a knobhead and saying I should sell it because there’s a lack of affordable homes, and then other people saying it’s not really an affordable home, and that because I took a risk on the abandoned building, I can choose what to do with it. I understand both viewpoints. So, leave your votes below on whether or not you think I’m a knobhead.
