In this video, I check out 11 different filming locations around Cerro Gordo, the abandoned mining town that I live in. These locations are some from of the biggest movies in the world! I travel down Cerro Gordo Road, across the dry Owens Lake, and eventually to Lone Pine and the Alabama Hills. I really enjoyed making this, and I hope you like it too.

The Santa Clause is a 1994 American Christmas comedy film written by Leo Benvenuti and Steve Rudnick, and directed by John Pasquin. The first installment in The Santa Clause franchise, it stars Tim Allen as Scott Calvin, an ordinary man who accidentally causes Santa Claus (played by Tim Allen's actual stunt double, Steve Lucescu) to fall from his roof on Christmas Eve. When he and his young son, Charlie, finish St. Nick's trip and deliveries, they go to the North Pole where Scott learns that he must become the new Santa and convince those he loves that he is indeed Santa Claus.

The film was released on November 11, 1994, and grossed $190 million. It received positive reviews from critics and it has since become a Christmas-time staple among viewers. Its success led to two sequels, The Santa Clause 2 (2002) and The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006), which were both financially successful despite the former's mixed and the latter's negative reception. The franchise continues with a follow-up series The Santa Clauses, which premiered November 16, 2022 on Disney+.

The film was shot at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood, California, and on location in the Greater Toronto Area, with Oakville serving as the city of Lakeside, Illinois. The reindeer used in the film were all from the Toronto Zoo. The trains used in the North Pole scene and the start of the film were all made by LGB.

Reservoir Dogs is a 1992 American crime film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino in his feature-length debut. It stars Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Chris Penn, Steve Buscemi, Lawrence Tierney, Michael Madsen, Tarantino, and Edward Bunker as diamond thieves whose heist of a jewelry store goes terribly wrong. Kirk Baltz, Randy Brooks, and Steven Wright also play supporting roles. It incorporates many motifs that have become Tarantino's hallmarks: violent crime, pop culture references, profanity, and nonlinear storytelling.

The film is regarded as a classic of independent film and a cult film and was named "Greatest Independent Film of all Time" by Empire. Although controversial at first for its depictions of violence and heavy use of profanity, Reservoir Dogs was generally well received, with the cast being praised by many critics. Despite not being heavily promoted during its theatrical run, the film became a modest success in the United States after grossing $2.8 million against its scant budget. It achieved higher popularity after the success of Tarantino's next film, Pulp Fiction (1994). A soundtrack was released featuring songs used in the film, which are mostly from the 1970s.

Reservoir Dogs was filmed in Los Angeles, California, USA. Johnie's Coffee Shop, Pat & Lorraine's Coffee Shop, Belmont Tunnel, and Highland Park were among the filming locations.

The warehouse scenes were filmed in an unused mortuary filled with coffins, funeral equipment, embalming fluid, and a hearse. Mr. Orange's apartment was a room on the second floor of the mortuary, dressed to look like living quarters. The building has since been demolished.

Tarantino's decision not to film the diamond robbery was twofold: for budgetary reasons, and to keep the details of the heist ambiguous. By not showing the robbery and having the characters describe it, Tarantino explained, the film is allowed to be "about other things", similar to the way in which the robbery in Glengarry Glen Ross and its film adaptation is discussed, described, and debated, but never shown. Tarantino compared the technique to the work of a novelist, and said he wanted the film to be about something not seen and to "play with a real-time clock as opposed to a movie clock ticking".

**In the Tall Grass (2019)** is a horror film directed by Vincenzo Natali and based on the novella of the same name by Stephen King and Joe Hill. The film stars Laysla De Oliveira, Avery Whitted, Patrick Wilson, Rachel Wilson, and Harrison Gilbertson. The film follows a pregnant woman, Becky (Oliveira), and her brother, Cal (Whitted), who wander into a seemingly endless field of tall grass after hearing a young boy crying for help. Once inside, they soon realize that they are lost and that something evil lurks within the grass. **In the Tall Grass** is a visually stunning film, with Natali using the tall grass to create a claustrophobic and disorienting atmosphere. The film's sound design is also excellent, with the endless rustle of the grass creating a sense of unease and suspense. The film's performances are also strong, with Oliveira and Whitted giving particularly nuanced performances as the two leads. Patrick Wilson is also excellent as Ross Humboldt, a mysterious man who claims to be able to help them escape the grass. However, the film's plot is somewhat convoluted and confusing at times, and the film's ending has been divisive among critics and audiences alike.
