Home Alone is THE Christmas movie of a generation. Right after Thanksgiving, this Chris Columbus-directed film is on repeat, and for good reason. Although there are plenty of funny, slapstick scenes with Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) and the wicked Wet Bandits (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern), this movie hits on what the true meaning of Christmas is: love and family. You can't help but feel good (and fully entertained) at the end.

The Beyond the Backlot crew heads to the Chicagoland area (Winnetka, Wilmette, and Oak Park) to track down some of these iconic, memorable filming locations -- and fulfill last year's @BeyondtheBacklot Location Scout episode -- a true then and now filming locations adventure. As John Hughes normally did, he canvassed the north shore suburbs of Chicago to find the perfect home, neighborhood, and community for his timeless Christmas classic. It was an honor to walk in the footsteps of John Hughes' most commercially-successful film of his brilliant career.

Man on Fire is a 2004 action thriller film[4] directed by Tony Scott from a screenplay by Brian Helgeland, and based on the 1980 novel of the same name by A. J. Quinnell. The novel had previously been adapted into a feature film in 1987. In this American-British-Swiss-Mexican co-production, Denzel Washington portrays John Creasy, a despondent, alcoholic former CIA SAD/SOG officer (and U.S. Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance captain) turned bodyguard, who goes on a revenge rampage after his charge, nine-year-old Lupita "Pita" Ramos (Dakota Fanning), is abducted in Mexico City. The supporting cast includes Christopher Walken, Radha Mitchell, Giancarlo Giannini, Marc Anthony, Rachel Ticotin and Mickey Rourke.

In July 2020, 18 year old Grant Solomon died in what was deemed a freak accident in the parking lot of a gym in Gallatin, Tennessee.

The circumstances were as strange as they were tragic.

There was only one witness to the accident: Grant’s father, Aaron Solomon, a man who had been under intense scrutiny after years of allegations of abuse and mistreatment from his ex-wife.

With an investigation swiftly opened and then closed; social media lit up over the injustice.

I wanted to see as much as I could after not going to California since a year ago, I decided to pick different locations from several movies instead of focusing on just one. When visiting famous homes, I get very uncomfortable so I did skip on recording at some and there was two locations I wasn't able to get to. Either way, it was really cool to check out some new locations and I really hope you enjoy this short video.

So we decided to try out GROWN UPS 2 for film locations here in the North Shore of Massachusetts.
Most locations are next to #Salem on the North Shore.
Grown Ups 2 was filmed in Swampscott, Marblehead, and other towns and cities close by.

Sony has finally detailed how backwards compatibility on PlayStation 5 will work, so if you have any questions on how to play PS4 games on PS5, this video has all the answers.

Like Xbox Series X/S, the PlayStation 5 will support backwards compatibility with the previous generation of games. Sony has said that about 99% of the over 4000 games available on PS4 will be playable on PS5. But, of course, that raises questions. Like, how will saves work across generations? And will PS4 games look the same on PS5?

In the video above, Lucy James walks through the most burning questions that relate to PS5 backwards compatibility. She focuses on talking about PS5's "Game Boost," remote play, digital vs. physical, how different it will be to play certain games with a PS5 DualSense as opposed to a PS4 DualShock 4, PSVR, and save transfers.

There's the big question too: Given that the PS5 will only support 99% of the PS4 library, what 1% of games won't be able to be played on next-gen? The list of unsupported titles currently includes Robinson: The Journey and Hitman Go: Definitive Edition. Sony will maintain and constantly update a page of all the games that don't make the cut, though it shouldn't be too long when all is said and done.

Sony jumps into next-gen just two days after Microsoft, with PlayStation 5 scheduled to release on November 12. The next-gen console will launch with both a standard version and a cheaper all-digital edition, which may save you a bit of cash up-front but could cost you in the long-run. Weeks away from the console's release, the PS5 launch line-up is beginning to take shape, and includes The Pathless and the Demon's Souls remake, among others.
