Hello. I'm Charles from Louis Purple, and today I'm going to teach you how to tie a Windsor knot. The Windsor knot is actually a very simple knot to tie, and it's very useful because it projects confidence. So it's a wide, triangular knot that's very suitable for presentations, job interviews, or cultural appearances, which I hope you don't frequent too often. So this is how you start.
You just find the right balance depending on the length of your tie, with the wide end on the right hand side and the narrow end on the left. You might want to adjust exactly where the center of the tie should be at in the middle of your neck. So this is how you start. You cross over the wide end over the narrow end. You bring the wide end through the loop between the collar and the tie. And you bring the wide end back down.
Then you just pull the wide end underneath, and then bring it up through the loop again in order to have a symmetrical shape, which should look like this. And you're almost done. There's only the easy part left and the most rewarding. Pull the wide end in front. Bring the wide end underneath, and then slide it inside the loop and tie it in the knot. You draw the knot up in order to fit your collar. So it's a knot that's really suitable for widespread collars. And as I said, then you can just adjust and tighten how big of a knot you like to obtain. This is how you tie a Windsor knot.

So after close to three decades of film location hunting I was finally convinced to make the pilgrimage out to Morristown, Tennessee to visit the original Sam Raimi classic, The Evil Dead. Super fan & Evil Dead expert Travis Mangold joins me on my adventure and I have to admit this was one of the coolest locations I have ever visited. Locations for THE CROW have always been difficult to nail down. You can really only find information about the fact that they filmed at Carolco Studios (now EUE/Screen Gems) and the abandoned Ideal Cement Factory. There was no way a film studio was going to let me on the lot to make a video and I knew the factory would be hard to access. Luckily, I got SOMETHING out of it. After we got home, I read a book about the making of THE CROW which revealed a few more practical locations, so I pieced together what I could for this video. Not our typical style when it comes to locations videos, but I hope you will find out something you didn't know!

Visiting Martha’s Vineyard and standing in the same spots where all this cinematic history was created was something I will never, ever forget. Memories I will carry with me for the rest of my life. It may be Martha’s Vineyard to the folks who live here, but to me….this is Amity Island. Get ready to see a few things you may have never seen before! I had the pleasure of meeting Richard Dreyfuss in October of 2023 and I told him I was going to Martha’s Vineyard in a few months to retrace his steps. He told me “there’s a lot of magic out there….and I’ve experienced a lot of it.”

This video covers all the filming locations seen in the 1984 comedy classic. Beginning where the movie opens at Columbia University and the Library. Next we will see the bank where Ray received the loan for his house to finance what would become the Ghostbusters headquarters. The old firehouse in the Tribeca neighborhood of New York City. It was a combination of that and a long since abandoned firehouse in downtown Los Angeles, which stood in for the interior shots. No Ghostbusters Tour would be complete without a stop at the Sedgewick Hotel, which is really the Millennium Biltmore in LA.
Dana's apartment building address is 55 Central Park West, aka Spook Central. Where Mr Stay Puft makes a visit after first seen walking down Broadway. All the spots seen during the montage scene, from Chinatown to Little Italy will be on display here as well. Along with the ghost escape scene after their power is shut off. Enjoy!
