Horror's Hallowed Grounds: Episode 6 — The Howling (1981). So after the success of the Scream Factory releases of Halloween II & Halloween III they offered us to do some more. We just happened to get involved with them at the right time as far as my horror film taste was concerned because it seemed like all of my favorite films were being thrown at me. Sadly, more than we could possibly do. There are several titles that when I think back on having to say no to I feel sick to my stomach. Two titles they had coming out were The Howling and The Fog. Just so happens that both were shot in Northern California so we could bang those out at the same time and that is exactly what we did. Here is the first of those two. Quick note, something that has always bothered me is that we got the location of the beach wrong. For the record director Joe Dante himself told me it was this specific beach and later after it was too late a fan gave me the correct address. Well, you can't win them all!
