This week I’m in Jonesboro, GA to seek out the location of every scene of the original locations that were used to film the 70’s trucking film Smokey and the Bandit and there are a lot of them including Mulberry Bridge landing, Roof Came Off, Beer Store, Snowman’s House, County Mounty roadblock, Hold up on that Car Wash, Stuck Horn, Mailboxes and even the Old Mundy’s Mill and I share a few behind the scenes and some trivia and tidbits I’m betting you didn’t know – Enjoy!

It’s a strange feeling to see a famous movie backdrop today and realize it has either been perfectly preserved or has vanished. We’re looking at how iconic film locations from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s have changed, from Get Carter and Full Metal Jacket to The Railway Children. Whether these spots were replaced by retail parks or haven't aged a day, seeing them now tells the real story of how Britain has changed over the decades.
