The Santa Clause is a 1994 American Christmas comedy film written by Leo Benvenuti and Steve Rudnick, and directed by John Pasquin. The first installment in The Santa Clause franchise, it stars Tim Allen as Scott Calvin, an ordinary man who accidentally causes Santa Claus (played by Tim Allen's actual stunt double, Steve Lucescu) to fall from his roof on Christmas Eve. When he and his young son, Charlie, finish St. Nick's trip and deliveries, they go to the North Pole where Scott learns that he must become the new Santa and convince those he loves that he is indeed Santa Claus.
The film was released on November 11, 1994, and grossed $190 million. It received positive reviews from critics and it has since become a Christmas-time staple among viewers. Its success led to two sequels, The Santa Clause 2 (2002) and The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006), which were both financially successful despite the former's mixed and the latter's negative reception. The franchise continues with a follow-up series The Santa Clauses, which premiered November 16, 2022 on Disney+.
The film was shot at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood, California, and on location in the Greater Toronto Area, with Oakville serving as the city of Lakeside, Illinois. The reindeer used in the film were all from the Toronto Zoo. The trains used in the North Pole scene and the start of the film were all made by LGB.
Back in November I made a trip to Evansville to see a few locations around town that were used in the 90's sitcom The Roseanne Show. The Lobo Lounge was and still is closed sadly. I was hoping to finish off by eating there and looking around at the photos inside. Maybe someday it will reopen!

Five New York City location scouts tell us about the spots in the city that appear the most in TV shows and movies, from "Spider-Man" to "Succession."
Find out where filmmakers go to shoot scenes involving business or government meetings, why the Brooklyn Navy Yard is a popular spot for filming stunt sequences and crime scenes, why movies and shows all end up at the same place to film prison scenes, and how "Joker" director Todd Phillips chose the right Bronx street for Joaquin Phoenix's iconic staircase dance.
Malaika Johnson has worked as a location scout on films like "The Dark Knight Rises," "The Avengers," "Clifford the Big Red Dog," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," and "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps." Eric Papa has worked on "Uncut Gems," "Billions," "Succession," "Black Swan," "The Bourne Legacy," and "The Undoing." 8 NYC Locations You See Over And Over In TV And Movies | Movies Insider
Something a little different than my usual. Something a bit more strange and unusual.
Come along as I take you to both New England filming sites for the original Beetlejuice and the new Beetlejuice Beetlejuice movies, both during live filming and after. We even meet Tim
Burton and Jenna Ortega when we spent all day in Melrose during live filming. Here’s a behind the scenes look at how they set up the village of East Corinth Vermont and the town of Melrose Massachusetts to look like the fictional Winter River Connecticut. Watch this before you decide on a trip to East Corinth!
It will be so fun to watch my footage and then see the new movie and try to figure out how they pieced it all together.
“It’s showtime!”

About me:
I've been making short films for 20 years, starting at age 11. I directed my first feature film, Bad is Bad, in 2010. Made for only $6,000, the film went on to reach over 7 million views and garner critical acclaim. More recently, my short film, Will "The Machine", screened and won awards at film festivals around the world. Released online in 2019, it reached over 1 million views in just a month. I also work as a video editor, cutting ads for clients such as Apple, Netflix, and Beats by Dre.

The Outsiders is a 1983 American coming-of-age crime drama film directed by Francis Ford Coppola. The film is an adaptation of the 1967 novel of the same name by S. E. Hinton and was released on March 25, 1983, in the United States. Jo Ellen Misakian, a librarian at Lone Star Elementary School in Fresno, California, and her students were responsible for inspiring Coppola to make the film.
The film is noted for its cast of up-and-coming stars, including C. Thomas Howell (who garnered a Young Artist Award), Rob Lowe, in his feature film debut, Emilio Estevez, Matt Dillon, Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze, Ralph Macchio, and Diane Lane. The film helped spark the Brat Pack genre of the 1980s. Dillon would also star in two more films based on Hinton novels: Tex (1982), with Estevez, and Coppola's Rumble Fish (1983), with Lane. Estevez wrote and starred in the Hinton adaptation That Was Then... This Is Now (1985).
The film received mostly positive reviews from critics, most notably for its performances, and performed well at the box office, grossing $33.7 million on a $10 million budget. Over the years, the film has earned a cult following and has spawned a 1990 sequel television series and a successful 2023 stage musical.
The film was shot on location in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Filming took place from March 29 to May 15, 1982. A newspaper used to show a story about the three greasers saving the kids in The Outsiders includes a real story from 1982 regarding the death of a man hit by a train in Boston. Coppola's craving for realism almost led to disaster during the church-burning scene. He pressed for "more fire", and the small, controlled blaze accidentally triggered a much larger, uncontrolled fire, which a downpour doused.
The original length of the film was two hours and 13 minutes. Warner Bros. felt that the film was a mistake and was too long. As a result, Coppola cut it down to 91 minutes for the theatrical release.
The pranks that went on during the filming have become legendary, mostly initiated by Matt Dillon, Rob Lowe, Tom Cruise, and Patrick Swayze The targets were often C. Thomas Howell and Diane Lane. Ralph Macchio was not involved because he was so focused on getting his role right The author of the original novel, S. E. Hinton, was involved during the filming as she and Coppola wrote the screenplay together; she appears as a nurse during a hospital scene in the film She also later stated that she served as an informal "den mother" to many of the actors, as she was "close to all of them"

Beetlejuice is a 1988 American dark fantasy comedy horror film directed by Tim Burton from a screenplay by Michael McDowell and Warren Skaaren based on a story by McDowell and Larry Wilson. The film stars Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Jeffrey Jones, Catherine O'Hara, Winona Ryder, and Michael Keaton as the title character.
The first installment of the Beetlejuice franchise, the plot revolves around a recently deceased couple. As ghosts, they are not allowed to leave their house. They contact Betelgeuse,[a] a charismatic "bio-exorcist", to scare the house's new inhabitants away. The film prominently features music from Harry Belafonte's albums Calypso and Jump Up Calypso.
Beetlejuice was released in the United States on March 30, 1988, by Warner Bros. The film was a critical and commercial success, grossing $75 million on a $15 million budget. It won the Academy Award for Best Makeup and three Saturn Awards: Best Horror Film, Best Makeup and Best Supporting Actress for Sylvia Sidney. The film's success spawned an animated television series, video games and a 2018 stage musical.
A sequel, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, had its theatrical release on September 6, 2024.
While the setting is the fictional village of Winter River, Connecticut, all outdoor scenes were filmed in East Corinth, a village in the town of Corinth, Vermont. Interiors were filmed at The Culver Studios in Culver City, California. Principal photography took place from March 11 to June 11, 1987.
Exterior filming for the sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice took place in East Corinth, Vermont (the location of the original movie's outdoor scenes), in mid-2023.
Filming resumed on November 16, 2023, in Melrose, Massachusetts, and wrapped in Vermont on November 30, 2023.
