Sony has finally detailed how backwards compatibility on PlayStation 5 will work, so if you have any questions on how to play PS4 games on PS5, this video has all the answers.

Like Xbox Series X/S, the PlayStation 5 will support backwards compatibility with the previous generation of games. Sony has said that about 99% of the over 4000 games available on PS4 will be playable on PS5. But, of course, that raises questions. Like, how will saves work across generations? And will PS4 games look the same on PS5?

In the video above, Lucy James walks through the most burning questions that relate to PS5 backwards compatibility. She focuses on talking about PS5's "Game Boost," remote play, digital vs. physical, how different it will be to play certain games with a PS5 DualSense as opposed to a PS4 DualShock 4, PSVR, and save transfers.

There's the big question too: Given that the PS5 will only support 99% of the PS4 library, what 1% of games won't be able to be played on next-gen? The list of unsupported titles currently includes Robinson: The Journey and Hitman Go: Definitive Edition. Sony will maintain and constantly update a page of all the games that don't make the cut, though it shouldn't be too long when all is said and done.

Sony jumps into next-gen just two days after Microsoft, with PlayStation 5 scheduled to release on November 12. The next-gen console will launch with both a standard version and a cheaper all-digital edition, which may save you a bit of cash up-front but could cost you in the long-run. Weeks away from the console's release, the PS5 launch line-up is beginning to take shape, and includes The Pathless and the Demon's Souls remake, among others.

Today, we're stepping into the unknown as we explore an abandoned home in Florida, frozen in time since 2019. This place was built in 1980, is much larger than it seems with a whopping 4600+ square feet of untold stories and hidden treasures waiting to be discovered.

The man who once called this place home was A brave U.S. Air Force veteran who crisscrossed the globe, serving at various bases in his younger years. When he returned for good, he found a soulmate to share his days with, living life to the fullest without the need for a wedding ring.

Venturing into the world of real estate, he became a trusted broker in the local community. His love for life, unwavering faith, and boundless generosity touched everyone he met. No one was a stranger to him, and he was always there to lend a hand to those in need. Truly a remarkable soul in every sense.

In 2011, at the age of 78, he passed away, leaving his partner to carry on his legacy. However, fate had other plans, as she too departed just a few years later. In 2017, the home found new owners, who began but never finished renovations, leaving everything behind, including two luxurious Mercedes Benzes in the driveway.

Sitting in plain sight in a Neighbourhood sits the former home of a Gangster. Custom built for his family in 1979, they sparred at no expense. The house featured a large foyer, an indoor pool with a chandelier, and a bar in the basement. He lived here for 14 years, blending in with the other neighbours to keep a low profile and avoid trouble. Everything changed in 1993 when the police started looking for him. To avoid imprisonment, the gangster fled the country with his family back to Europe. The home sat empty until a new family moved in in 1995. They lived here until 2016, keeping the home mostly unchanged. 8 Years later, the mansion sits in disrepair. The property is unmaintained and overgrown. Now an eyesore in the community, the mansion will be demolished to construct nine new homes.

It’s so bizarre to see how many of these giant homes are left behind in America only to be destroyed by elements, people, and developers. But behind every abandoned home is a unique story of someone’s life.

In today’s episode we are taking a trip down south to a massive abandoned mansion that was last owned by an art and antique dealer, the 10,000 square foot mansion dates all the way back to 1920 being built in a Mediterranean style. But what’s very unique about this place is that behind the main house is a horse shoe shaped structure that last served as luxurious condominiums. the family that lived here bought the mansion in the 1990s and ran their business from home, but in 2005 the man passed away due to an illness and his wife was unable to keep up with the mortgage. The bank eventually took over the property and ultimately left it abandoned with everything still inside. So join me today and let’s see what’s left.

Today on AD we visit Goshen in Upstate New York to tour a Victorian home from 1892 with a ton of potential, but needing lots of work. Contractor Nick Schiffer from NS Builders goes room by room laying out the possibilities within the walls while acknowledging how daunting the road to this former gem’s restoration will be. In today’s episode we venture down south to an abandoned white marble mansion that to me resembles the White House in Washington DC. Built in 1983 by a man we’re going to call Mr.K. He was originally from Poland and moved to Canada in the 1950s with dreams of actually working in the United States. And he accomplished his dream moving to Alabama and starting up a hotel business that was very successful! In the 1970s he and his wife moved into a home that used to sit where the mansion sits now. They had planned on renovations and adding on to the other house but became an issue because of the extensive work the house needed. So in 1983 they tore down their house to rebuild their dream home. With Mr.K being from Europe and his wife being from Alabama they both had certain styles that they loved. And that’s how the design of this mansion came about. The mansion features 12,000 square feet of living space, 2 pools with one of them being indoors, well over 30 chandeliers, and a 2000 sqft master bedroom. Not to mention the crazy amount of marble and ornate trim above each entry way. In 2006 Mr.K passed away at the age of 93 and the mansion was sold off. The owner ship of the mansion changed several times until 2008 when the house was winterized and no one ever moved back in. So join us today and let’s see what’s left

Located In Northern British Columbia, Kitsault is perhaps one of the best preserved modern day ghost towns.

It sits in a nearly perfect state of preservation with the power still on.

This area of northern British Columbia was long known for its rich mineral deposits.

In 1979 it was molybdenum (also known as 'Moly') that was in high demand.

Molybdenum is used in steel alloys to increase strength, hardness, electrical conductivity and resistance to corrosion and wear.

Between 1967 and 1972, a total of 10 million tons of molly had already been mined but the prices in the early 70s were trending down.

AMAX of Canada Ltd. purchased the site in 1973.

By around 1979 the Moly market was on the rise with news that many of the known deposits in western Canada and the United States were depleted.

In 1979 The mine was reopened and construction of the town started.

The plan was to make Kitsault a place that would attract workers to remote northern BC.

They would build a community that would house around 1,200 residents.

By 1980, the first families would start moving in.

Built was a community of around 100 single family homes and duplexes and seven apartment buildings with around 200 suites.

There was a modern hospital, mall, restaurants, bank, theatre, two recreation centres, a school and more.

Everything a modern 1980s community would want and need.

Just after families had settled in and the price of Moly collapsed due to the 1982 recession and the moly byproduct production from copper mines, the mine was closed.

The last residents were gone by 1983. Only 18 months of full operation to closure.

For the next 22 years the town sat vacant and untouched like a time capsule.

Caretakers were hired to maintain the town during this time.

In 2005 an American businessman bought the town and has spent millions in renovations keeping the town preserved with a vision for future development and projects.

Today most of the town still remains as it was from 1983.
