Music by Kevin McLeod
Reservoir Dogs is a 1992 American crime film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino in his feature-length debut. It stars Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Chris Penn, Steve Buscemi, Lawrence Tierney, Michael Madsen, Tarantino, and Edward Bunker as diamond thieves whose heist of a jewelry store goes terribly wrong. Kirk Baltz, Randy Brooks, and Steven Wright also play supporting roles. It incorporates many motifs that have become Tarantino's hallmarks: violent crime, pop culture references, profanity, and nonlinear storytelling.
The film is regarded as a classic of independent film and a cult film and was named "Greatest Independent Film of all Time" by Empire. Although controversial at first for its depictions of violence and heavy use of profanity, Reservoir Dogs was generally well received, with the cast being praised by many critics. Despite not being heavily promoted during its theatrical run, the film became a modest success in the United States after grossing $2.8 million against its scant budget. It achieved higher popularity after the success of Tarantino's next film, Pulp Fiction (1994). A soundtrack was released featuring songs used in the film, which are mostly from the 1970s.
Reservoir Dogs was filmed in Los Angeles, California, USA. Johnie's Coffee Shop, Pat & Lorraine's Coffee Shop, Belmont Tunnel, and Highland Park were among the filming locations.
The warehouse scenes were filmed in an unused mortuary filled with coffins, funeral equipment, embalming fluid, and a hearse. Mr. Orange's apartment was a room on the second floor of the mortuary, dressed to look like living quarters. The building has since been demolished.
Tarantino's decision not to film the diamond robbery was twofold: for budgetary reasons, and to keep the details of the heist ambiguous. By not showing the robbery and having the characters describe it, Tarantino explained, the film is allowed to be "about other things", similar to the way in which the robbery in Glengarry Glen Ross and its film adaptation is discussed, described, and debated, but never shown. Tarantino compared the technique to the work of a novelist, and said he wanted the film to be about something not seen and to "play with a real-time clock as opposed to a movie clock ticking".

"Billie Jean" is a song by American singer-songwriter Michael Jackson, released by Epic Records on January 3, 1983, as the second single from his sixth studio album, Thriller (1982). It was written and composed by Jackson and produced by Quincy Jones and co-produced by Jackson. "Billie Jean" blends post-disco, R&B, funk, and dance-pop. The lyrics describe a woman, Billie Jean, who claims that the narrator is the father of her newborn son, which he denies. Jackson said the lyrics were based on groupies' claims about his older brothers when he toured with them as the Jackson 5.
"Billie Jean" reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, topped the Billboard Hot Black Singles chart within three weeks, and became Jackson's fastest-rising number one single since "ABC", "The Love You Save" and "I'll Be There" in 1970, all of which he recorded as a member of the Jackson 5. It was also a number one hit in the UK, Australia, Canada, France, Ireland, Switzerland and Belgium, and reached the top ten in many other countries. "Billie Jean" was one of the best-selling singles of 1983, helping Thriller become the best-selling album of all time, and became Jackson's best-selling solo single. "Billie Jean" is certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and is one of the best-selling singles of all-time.
Jackson's performance of "Billie Jean" on the TV special Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever won universal acclaim and was nominated for an Emmy Award. It introduced a number of Jackson's signatures, including the moonwalk, black sequined jacket, and high-water pants, and was widely imitated. The "Billie Jean" music video, directed by Steve Barron, was the first video by a black artist to be aired in heavy rotation on MTV. Along with the other videos produced for Thriller, it helped establish MTV's cultural importance and make music videos an integral part of popular music marketing. The spare, bass-driven arrangement of "Billie Jean" helped pioneer what one critic called "sleek, post-soul pop music". It also introduced a more paranoid lyrical style for Jackson, a trademark of his later music.
"Billie Jean" was awarded honors including two Grammy Awards and an American Music Award. Billboard ranked it as the No. 2 song for 1983.
MTV initially refused to air the video for "Billie Jean", as the network's executives felt black music did not fit into its "rock"-centered programming at the time. Enraged by their refusal despite Jackson's success as a musical artist, Walter Yetnikoff, the president of Jackson's record company CBS Records, threatened to expose MTV's stance on racial discrimination: "I said to MTV, 'I'm pulling everything we have off the air, all our product. I'm not going to give you any more videos. And I'm going to go public and fucking tell them about the fact you don't want to play music by a black guy.'" MTV relented and premiered the "Billie Jean" music video on March 10, 1983. After the video was aired in heavy rotation, Thriller went on to sell an additional 10 million copies. It was one of the first videos by a black artist to be aired regularly by the channel.
Directed by Steve Barron and produced by Gowers Fields Flattery, the video shows a photographer who follows but never catches Jackson, as when photographed Jackson fails to materialize on the developed picture. Jackson dances to Billie Jean's hotel room and as he walks along a sidewalk, each tile lights up at his touch. After performing a quick spin, he jumps and lands, freeze framed, on his toes. Upon arrival at the hotel, he climbs the staircase to Billie Jean's room, lighting up each step as he touches it and illuminating a burnt-out "Hotel" sign as he passes it. The paparazzo then arrives at the scene and watches as Jackson vanishes under the covers of Billie Jean's bed, before the police arrive and arrest him for spying on Billie Jean. As the paparazzo is led away, he drops a tiger-print cloth that Jackson had left behind after polishing his shoe with it earlier in the video. (On both occasions, the cloth briefly transforms into a tiger cub.) Once the street is empty, the paving tiles again light up in sequence, reversing Jackson's earlier progress.
Jackson's new look for the video, a black leather suit with a pink shirt and a red bow tie, was copied by children around the US.

#Irelandfilminglocations #Irelandinmovies #Irelandmovies
Ireland and its beautiful vistas make for a fantastic backdrop for famous movies. And on this trip to Ireland we visit some of our favorite movies and their extraordinary filming locations. We start off our filming location hunt at one of Irelands #1 tourist attractions, The Cliffs of Moher are stunning and can be seen in the movie Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, but my family is most familiar with them as The Cliffs of Insanity in one of our favorite films, The Princess Bride.
Next on our list we head East to a different shoreline. We go to
Ballinesker Beach, Ballinruan, Curracloe, Co. Wexford, Ireland. Currocloe Beach also called Ballinesker Beach was were Steven Spielberg shot Saving Private Ryan. Curracloe Beach stood in as Omaha Beach from the Invasion of Normandy. In fact a nearby restaurant named itself Omaha Beach Restaurant as a nod to the making of the movie. Steven Spielberg chose not to shoot in Normandy for moral issues. Curracloe Beach is a beautiful stretch of soft sand with huge grassy sand dunes.
We then head to Dublin, Ireland to Grafton Street. Grafton St is one of Europe's best shopping streets. This pedestrian only street is full of cafes, shops and musicians who serenade lucky passerbys. In the movie Once, a vacuum repair man moonlights as a musician on Grafton Street.
P.S. I Love You, Gerry and Holly meet along the Sally Gap.
In Ron Howards, Far and Away. Event the American filming locations are in Ireland. The scenes that are Boston are really the alley way behind the Guinness Factory.
The most sought after filming location in Ireland is also the hardest one to get to...Skellig Island. Skellig Island is only allowed 180 visitors a day, you must book your ferry ticket far in advance, tours are often canceled due to poor boating conditions and the reason we did not go, they don't take kids under 12 because of the many steps and rough waters. Skellig Island is in Star Wars The Force Awakens.
We do drive the Ring of Kerry to see Skellig from land from the Cliffs of Kerry. While we are there, we can also see Lemon Rock that also appears in Harry Potter and the Half Blood-Prince.
Oscar®- nominee George Segal (1967, Best Supporting Actor, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf) became a star with his performance in this epic WWII drama based on the best-selling novel by Shogun author James Clavell. The movie chronicles the scams of a streetwise GI held in a Japanese prison camp. Under the harrowing camp conditions, he rises to a position of power over his military and social superiors, manipulating those around him and controlling the prison's black market. KING RAT is a powerful exploration of one man's struggle to survive and flourish against all odds. It was nominated for two 1965 Academy Awards® (Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography).
