District 9 is a 2009 science fiction action film directed by Neill Blomkamp in his feature film debut, written by Blomkamp and Terri Tatchell, and produced by Peter Jackson and Carolynne Cunningham. It is a co-production of New Zealand, the United States, and South Africa. The film stars Sharlto Copley, Jason Cope, and David James, and was adapted from Blomkamp's 2006 short film Alive in Joburg.

Instead of doing a simple renovation, we went further: we demolished the old home and built a completely new house from scratch — modern, warm, cozy and designed for a family.

In this project, you will see how a place that could no longer provide comfort turns into a home filled with light, beautiful details and spaces created for living, resting, playing and sharing family moments.

First, the old house completely disappears so a new space for the family can begin to rise in its place. Step by step, a cozy family living room appears — the warm heart of the home, where mom can rest while the children play nearby.

Mom’s bedroom becomes a peaceful place to recover and relax: soft lighting, warm tones, cozy details and a ceiling that looks like a sunset sky. The kids’ bedroom turns into a real little world for children — with beds, a study area, books, toys, a slide and a ball pit.

The modern kitchen becomes one of the most impressive spaces in the house: natural wood, a warm atmosphere, an unusual illuminated crystal island and a chandelier that makes the room feel elegant and cozy at the same time.

The bathroom turns into a spa-style area: natural stone, plants, soft lighting, a modern shower and a bathtub where you would want to relax after a long day.

After that, the facade work completely changes the outside of the house. And in the end, the backyard appears with a pool, garden, illuminated paths and a relaxation area — a place where the family can spend evenings, rest and enjoy their new life.

The most beautiful part of this story is seeing how an old house disappears to make room for new hope. Where there was once tiredness, limitations and a damaged home, now there is a safe, modern, cozy and light-filled house for a mom and her two children.

Today we're taking a look at an abandoned mansion with its very own private island guest house. This place was built in 1941 and owned by a man we'll call Robert. Robert was a businessman and part of the United States Air Force in his younger years. He thought this place would be perfect for his family - his wife Ellie and their four children. Ellie was a stay-at-home mom who cared for the children and the estate, while Robert built up his family's fortune. But one day, in 2002, Ellie collapsed from a heart attack in her late 50s and ultimately passed away. This left Robert devastated. Even though he tried to live in the home by himself after all of their children moved away, he couldn't stand to be in the place where the love of his life took her last breath. So he left to be with his children, and the mansion has sat abandoned ever since, with many memories left behind. So come with me today, and let's see what's left.

Beetlejuice is a 1988 American dark fantasy comedy horror film directed by Tim Burton from a screenplay by Michael McDowell and Warren Skaaren based on a story by McDowell and Larry Wilson. Interiors were filmed at The Culver Studios in Culver City, California. Principal photography took place from March 11 to June 11, 1987.

Exterior filming for the sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice took place in East Corinth, Vermont (the location of the original movie's outdoor scenes), in mid-2023.

Filming resumed on November 16, 2023, in Melrose, Massachusetts, and wrapped in Vermont on November 30, 2023.
