In this episode we're exploring the Richland Fashion Mall. Opened in 1988, the Richland Mall was struggling from the beginning with vacant anchors and only half of the retail space leased. The mall remained open while mostly empty until 2022 and demolition began in 2024.

Here is a look at the new filming locations and movie sets for the upcoming movie production for Beetlejuice 2 in East Corinth, Vermont. Nearly all of the filming locations that were used in Beetlejuice (1988) are being remodeled and renovated again in 2023 for the upcoming production of Beetlejuice 2.

Locations for THE CROW have always been difficult to nail down. You can really only find information about the fact that they filmed at Carolco Studios (now EUE/Screen Gems) and the abandoned Ideal Cement Factory. There was no way a film studio was going to let me on the lot to make a video and I knew the factory would be hard to access. Luckily, I got SOMETHING out of it. After we got home, I read a book about the making of THE CROW which revealed a few more practical locations, so I pieced together what I could for this video. Not our typical style when it comes to locations videos, but I hope you will find out something you didn't know!

Footloose is a 1984 American musical drama film directed by Herbert Ross. It tells the story of Ren McCormack (Kevin Bacon), a teenager from Chicago who moves to a small town, where he attempts to overturn the ban on dancing instituted by the efforts of a local minister (John Lithgow).
The film received mixed reviews from the critics and was a box office success, grossing $80 million in North America, becoming the seventh highest-grossing film of 1984. The songs "Footloose" by Kenny Loggins and "Let's Hear It for the Boy" by Deniece Williams were nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song.
Principal photography began on May 9, 1983 and shot at various locations in Utah County, Utah. The high school and tractor scenes were filmed in and around Payson and Payson High School.The church scenes were filmed at the First Presbyterian Church in American Fork, while the steel mill was the Geneva Steel facility in Vineyard and The Lehi Roller Mills were the location where Bacon's character worked (Bacon briefly worked at the roller mill as research for his performance). The drive-in scenes were filmed in Provo at what was then a branch of the Hi-Spot burger chain. The restaurant chain closed in the late 1980s, and there is now an auto parts store at that location. The bar scene was filmed at The Silver Spur bar in downtown Provo. The bar and other surrounding buildings were demolished to make way for the Utah Valley Convention Center.
