There are few movies ever made that have the ability to bring me back to the time from which it came, like "a bolt of lightning." This is one of them. In this video you will see some of the Los Angeles filming locations seen in the 1984 comedy classic. Including: Axl's apartment, Rodeo Drive, the hotel where he checked in and out of with robes and without paying, the art gallery, Victor's office - where he gets thrown through the window, and the Beverly Hills Police Station.

This movie has a great cast of characters, a solid story and some of the best music in movie history. The soundtrack featuring Patti LaBelle, Glenn Frey and others along with the score by Harold Faltermeyer are legendary. It’s a one of a kind, very funny and hard hitting 80s flick.

This was my first Rated R movie. My parents had the VHS cassette hidden in a black case without a label on the top shelf haha. I remember the first time I saw the Opening truck chase and Inspector Todd locker room scenes... They definitely set the tone for this great movie.

I also show where they filmed the opening scene for A Night at the Roxbury with Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan. I also show the old La Reina movie theater and the demolished Sherman theatre where they showed many movies back in the day including Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, and they filmed the movie Valley Girl at that theatre with Nicolas Cage in the 80’s.
