Our films will continue to grow in sophistication; including telescopic images, time-lapse, drone shots and underwater footage. All will remain educational in an entertaining format. A collection of UK film locations for The Omen - 1976 / 45th year anniversary. includes Guildford Cathedral, All Saints Church, Pyreford Court and Brookwood Military Cemetery. Most locations filmed by drone (some places had flying restrictions, so only hand-held shots were possible). The mansion that housed Robert & Katherine Thorn was at Pyreford Court, but a high brick wall restricts a drone signal and couldn't be flown toward it. Going on a tour of one of my favorite movies, “A View To A Kill”, locations all found in San Francisco.
The locations visited on this tour are:
1) Fisherman’s Wharf, a famous tourist site on the San Francisco waterfront, where James Bond makes contact with CIA agent Chuck Lee (David Yip).
2) The Transamerica Pyramid, where James Bond almost loses vital parts of his anatomy on the peak’s antenna.
3) The San Francisco City Hall, where 007 escapes a fiery trap set by Zorin (Christopher Walken).
4) The corner of Davis and California streets, one of the locations along the firetruck chase route. The chase primarily took place in the financial district.
5) The Lefty O’Doul bridge, next to Oracle Park, also known as the 3rd street bridge. It’s where 007 jumps the raising bridge, leaving his police pursuers behind on the other side.
