Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (also known as Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning) is a 1985 American psychological slasher film directed by Danny Steinmann and starring Melanie Kinnaman, John Shepherd, and Shavar Ross. It is the fifth installment in the Friday the 13th franchise. Set years after the events of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, the story follows a teenage Tommy Jarvis (Shepherd), who is institutionalized at a halfway house near Crystal Lake because of nightmares of mass murderer Jason Voorhees, whom he killed as a child. Tommy must face his fears when a new hockey mask wearing murderer initiates another violent killing spree in the area.

A New Beginning features a high number of on-screen murders. Aside from its gore and violence, the film has also become known for its explicit nudity, sex scenes, and numerous depictions of illicit drug use. Peter Bracke's book Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th details that behind the scenes, the production was plagued with hardcore drug use. The film also features a cameo appearance from Corey Feldman, who portrayed Tommy Jarvis in the previous film.

Shot in California in 1984 on a budget of $2.2 million, A New Beginning was released theatrically on March 22, 1985, and grossed $22 million at the U.S. box office. The film was initially going to set up a new trilogy of films with a different villain for the series but, after a disappointing reception from fans and a steep decline in box-office receipts from Part III and The Final Chapter, Jason Voorhees was brought back for the next installment Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986) and has been the main antagonist in the series since. In addition to weak box office returns, the film received mostly negative reviews from critics.

Despite the title of the movie, production for the series continued to remain in California in various locations around the Los Angeles area. As opposed to the other entries in the franchise, a chunk of the action was shot in the middle of an urban area, albeit in the idyllic Franklin Canyon Park, which is tucked inside the Beverly Hills portion of the Santa Monica Mountains. The Pineway Halfway House where Tommy Jarvis is institutionalized is a privately-owned property called "Rancho Rosito", located in Camarillo, California. Corey Feldman was too busy shooting The Goonies to appear on set, so the crew traveled to his backyard for his cameo in the opening scene.

Since my very first watch of this movie, I have dreamed of visiting Venice, Italy, and finding all the key locations related to 'The Tourist' movie (2010) with Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie.

A look at two of the filming locations for the 1971 Sci-fi classic - the Omega Man starring Charlton Heston. Filmed in Los Angeles in 2018 in the Broadway Theatre District & Warner Brother Studios.

This video offers a then-and-now tour of what was the town of Woodsboro. Sonoma, Glen Ellen, Santa Rosa, Healdsburg and Tomales were the actual Northern California Cities that made up the fictitious movie land. See where the Wes Craven classic was made, and how it looks in its 25th anniversary year. Hello guys!!! I know it's been a little while since my last video, but I'm stocked to bring you thee ultimate The Notebook movie tour. Follow me on my adventures through one of the most iconic and romantic films of all time. You'll get to see where Allie and Noah go on their first date, their first dance, their first fight, and so much more! Charleston, South Carolina, was the absolute perfect place to shoot this movie. I am sadly dissapointed with one of the spots because now that after editing, I can see I was standing in the wrong spot. I was told the scene with Allie and Noah and yelling and kissing in the rain was shot at The Dock House which it was, but because a wedding was being set up, I couldn't walk around too much and couldn't ask anyone for the correct spot. Therefore, I apologize for that. I still hope you enjoy this video :)
