I visited The Sandlot and all it's filming locations for the 30th Anniversary in Salt Lake City. I got to meet most of the cast, hit nearly every spot, and even got to explore and break down the rarely accessed Sandlot.
We'll also learn behind the scenes facts about one of the greatest childhood movies ever!
The Sandlot was filmed in and around Salt Lake City, Utah in 1992 and released in 1993. It was written and directed by David Mickey Evans and stars Tom Guiry, Mike Vitar, Patrick Renna, Marty York, Chauncey Leopardi, Grant Gelt, Brandom Adams, Shane Obedzinski, Victor DiMattia, Marley Shelton, James Earl Jones, Denis Leary, and Karen Allen.
Cities include Salt Lake City, American Fork, Ogden, and Midvale, Utah.

'The Great Escape' was a film that I grew up with during my childhood, and to this day remains one of my favourites. Whilst not entirely historically accurate to the real-life escape the movie is based upon, it was (and still is) nonetheless regarded as one of the finest movies of the 1960s. The movie was shot in its entirety in Germany in 1962 at the Bavaria Film Studio in Munich, with location filming in rural Bavaria.
Hailing from a German family, my brother and I love all things to do with the country. And so after having to put it off for 3 years (thanks COVID), we finally flew out of London and landed in Munich in July 2022. Grabbing a hire car, we decided to spend one day venturing around southern Bavaria and went about seeking out some of the locations from the 1963 war blockbuster.

Going on a tour of one of my favorite movies, โA View To A Killโ, locations all found in San Francisco.
The locations visited on this tour are:
1) Fishermanโs Wharf, a famous tourist site on the San Francisco waterfront, where James Bond makes contact with CIA agent Chuck Lee (David Yip).
2) The Transamerica Pyramid, where James Bond almost loses vital parts of his anatomy on the peakโs antenna.
3) The San Francisco City Hall, where 007 escapes a fiery trap set by Zorin (Christopher Walken).
4) The corner of Davis and California streets, one of the locations along the firetruck chase route. The chase primarily took place in the financial district.
5) The Lefty OโDoul bridge, next to Oracle Park, also known as the 3rd street bridge. Itโs where 007 jumps the raising bridge, leaving his police pursuers behind on the other side.
