In this video I cover two locations used in the movie directed by Clint Eastwood, located in Mono Lake California. This is a location that using Pure Imagination is highly useful. ;)

Clint Eastwood scouted the locations himself while driving a pickup truck through Oregon, Nevada and California. He chose the shores of Mono Lake because he considered the area highly photogenic. Additional scenes were filmed at Reno, Nevada's Winnemucca Lake and California's Inyo National Forest.

My wife and I are big fans of the show and decided to make the trek to Scotland to visit my wife's best friend that lives in Edinburgh. We also checked out our favorite Outlander Filming Locations.
We did a bit of research online before going to map out our trip. The order these locations appear in the video don't match the order in which we visited them. You need to map out your trip to best match your itinerary. We just spent about 5 days in Scotland during this visit which was plenty of time to see all of these sites.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles is a 1987 American comedy film written, produced, and directed by John Hughes. It stars Steve Martin as Neal Page, a high-strung marketing executive, and John Candy as Del Griffith, a goodhearted but annoying shower curtain ring salesman. They share a three-day odyssey of misadventures trying to get Neal home to Chicago in time for Thanksgiving with his family. The film received critical acclaim, with many critics praising it for Hughes branching out from teen comedies, and for the performances of Candy and Martin.

Planes, Train and Automobiles was filmed in 85 days, mostly in Batavia, New York, and South Dayton, New York. A scene that takes place in St. Louis was filmed at Lambert International Airport. There was also a scene in Braidwood, Illinois at the seedy Sun Motel. Rewrites Hughes did during filming made the amount of footage he shot much larger than what the original screenplay needed.

C’est du coté de Wargames, réalisé par John Badham en 1983, que nos recherches nous mènent ce jour pour dénicher la maison de David Lightman (Matthew Broderick) où se déroule une partie de l’action du film : c’est de sa chambre que David joue les pirates informatiques et se connecte à WOPR, un supercalculateur militaire des forces armées américaines. Tous deux débutent une simulation de guerre nucléaire qui va causer un vent de panique au cœur du gouvernement américain…
Le centre de Los Angeles recèle de lieux de tournage célèbre jusque dans ses rues les plus anonymes, loin des centres touristiques. C’est dans le quartier de Hancock Park, au 333 Arden Boulevard, que nous avons retrouvé la maison de la famille Lightman. La rue et la maison, n’ont pas particulièrement changé (une rue de « lotissement » typiquement américaine…) et sont facilement reconnaissables si l’on compare avec les images du film.
Un souvenir nostalgique d’un cinéma typiquement 80’s qui reste incontournable à nos yeux…

Horror's Hallowed Grounds: Episode 3 — A Nightmare on Elm Street. Soon after we shot The Texas Chain Saw Massacre episode my life was suddenly turned upside down in a good way by being thrown into making my first feature film, The Black Waters of Echo's Pond. That combined with my business Convention All Stars really taking off pulled my focus away from HHG. Honestly I didn't think I would make another episode. It had been 3 years since TCM but then in 2010 Andrew Kasch said he was making a Nightmare on Elm Street documentary called Never Sleep Again. He asked if I would be interested in doing an episode for a bonus feature on the doc much like we had done on Halloween 25 Years of Terror. We would actually have some real time to do it and not be rushed for a change. Also, since Heather Langenkamp was a producer on the doc she would be willing to appear in the episode too! I was all in. What we produced this time was something I was finally really proud of. We had great special guests and really begun to fine tune our style of solid information with a touch of humor. My visit to the iconic Venice High School where they filmed Grease. It was Rydell High! John Travolta was there! Danny Freakin Zuko! And Britney Spears filmed her first ever video there, for “Baby, One More Time.” I’m showing you all the locations from both. And killer dogs and elderly skateboarders.

We take the kids and drive North to the city of Fargo, North Dakota to the Visit Fargo-Moorhead visitors center. At the Fargo Moorhead visitors center there is a very special movie prop from the Coen Brother's movie Fargo. It's the woodchipper! This visitors center is full of other Fargo movie memorabilia. While their we get some great ideas of other great attractions in the cities of Fargo and Moorhead. We make sure to try "hot dish", and find as many painted buffalos and murals as we can find, before heading over to the Dairy Queen in Moorhead. This Dairy Queen is the inventor of the Dilly Bar. They also have the worlds largest Dilly Bar outside.
After saying goodbye to Fargo and Moorhead we head over to the Stockmen's Truck Stop in South St Paul, Minnesota. Stockmen's stood in for the Blue Ox Motel in the movie Fargo.
