This 7500 square-foot home was custom built in 1987 for a man named Cecil Hawkins. He was a businessman in Toronto.

In 2023, it was bought by a developer along with the neighbouring house to be demolished to construct a six story luxury condo building. As of February 2026, this home has been demolished.

in this video, I state how I believed that this is how the house was when it was built. While I’m largely accurate, I found out it had some changes. And how I found that out was pretty interesting… 

This was the home used in the movie good fences featuring Whoopi Goldberg and Danny Glover. I wish I had known this information prior to filming this video. after watching the movie, it was made very clear that the house was not in its original state as it sat in my video. It was even more 80s than I could’ve imagined it to be. I strongly suggest checking out the film if you’re interested in seeing how the home once used to look. It’s still pretty cool knowing I explored another home used in a movie with some pretty well known actors!

I found an abandoned house filled with old вещи and trash.
No one had lived here for a long time, and over the years the place was almost completely forgotten.

In this part, I begin cleaning the house, removing the clutter, and slowly bringing life back to it.

Episode 28 is all about getting our hands dirty and making real progress around the abandoned house. We bring out the mini excavator to track down and dig up the main water line so we can relocate it and keep things moving forward on the property. It’s not all smooth digging though—there are a few surprises along the way.

We also take a break from the dirt work to tackle the brakes on the Buick, with the dog hanging around and keeping a close eye on things (or just getting in the way). Then it’s time to reclaim some of the overgrown areas as we fire up the Mowrator RC mower and start cutting everything back.

Bit by bit, this place is coming back to life. Thanks for being along for the ride.

In the woods of west central Georgia, I came across an abandoned house that looks at first like a simple rural home from the 1950s or 1960s.

But once I started looking closer, the story became a lot more interesting.

This old house appears to have been built using repurposed lumber. Some of the boards even show signs of having been through a fire, raising the question of whether parts of this house may have come from an older home that once stood nearby, possibly an 1800s house that burned before this one was built.

It is not the biggest house I have explored, and it is not the oldest, but places like this are still part of the story of rural Georgia. They show how people reused what they had, built with what was available, and left behind traces of earlier history without ever meaning to.

Join me as I explore this abandoned house in the woods, look at the strange burned lumber inside, and try to make sense of what this forgotten place may be telling us.

Preservation through documentation. Sometimes the story is not just in the house itself, but in the pieces that were used to build it.

I explore the abandoned mansions of London’s Billionaires’ Row, one of the most infamous luxury streets in the world. Behind the gates, wealth, mystery, and silence have taken over as massive homes once tied to extreme money and power now sit empty and forgotten. Some of these properties were never truly lived in, bought more as investments than homes, while others were left behind as ownership changed, redevelopment stalled, and entire estates fell into decay.
What makes this place so eerie is the contrast. This is supposed to be one of the richest streets in London, yet hidden behind the trees and walls are abandoned mansions slowly rotting away. In this explore, I take you inside that strange world to see what’s left behind on a road built for billionaires.
