High school senior Andie Walsh lives with her underemployed working-class father, Jack, in a Chicago suburb. Andie's best friend, the outsider Phil "Duckie" Dale is in love with her, but is afraid to tell her how he truly feels. In school, Duckie and Andie, along with their friends, are harassed and bullied by the arrogant "richie" kids, specifically Benny Hanson and her boyfriend, Steff McKee, who finds Andie attractive and secretly resents having been rejected by her.

While working after school at a record store called TRAX, Andie starts talking about her school's senior prom to her manager, Iona, who advises Andie to go, despite not having a date. Blane McDonough, one of the preppy boys and Steff's best friend, falls for Andie and eventually asks her out.

This abandoned barn was converted into living space and I was told it was a former bikers clubhouse. It included 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a large bar, a commercial kitchen and a lounge area. It also had a few outbuildings and trailers for guests. It was later sold to a religious group to use as a religious retreat. It has been abandoned since 2007.

This stunning second Empire house was supposedly built around the mid 1800’s sometime after the civil war for Western Dime Novel Author Ned Buntline. The man lived a very fascinating life supposedly meeting Wyatt Earp and some of the most famous names of the Wild West. I would encourage you to google Ned Buntline if this interests you because the man lived a very interesting life and I couldn’t possibly sum up all the strange and bizarre stories I’ve read about the author. He moved into this house with his fourth wife around 1871 and would live in this home until his death in 1886. He would name the house Eagles Nest after seeing two eagles nearby nesting in a tree on the property is the rumor. The house passed through multiple owners after Ned, sadly the house would end up vacant most of the later half of the 20th century only being used for storage. I spoke with a man who collects the maple syrup from the trees all around the property, and he said he made an offer to buy the house 30 years ago but was told it’s in to bad of shape, now 30 years later and the house is completely collapsed in the center of the mansard roof. (If you were curious what the blue hoses on the trees around the house, it’s maple trees and syrup being collected) big thanks to the neighbor for chatting with me and explaining about the maple syrup. In the heart of a quaint, forgotten neighborhood stood this small, weathered house. Inside, memories danced in every corner, whispered in every creak of the floorboards. This was the home of Edith and her beloved husband, Arthur. For decades, they built a life within these walls, filling it with love, laughter, and cherished moments.
Edith was the epitome of grace and warmth, her gentle smile like a beacon of light in the darkest of times. Arthur, her devoted companion, stood by her side through every joy and sorrow, and their love a testament to the enduring power of partnership.

As the years passed, time took its toll, leaving its mark on the once vibrant couple. Arthur's laughter grew softer, his steps slower, while Edith's hands trembled with age. Yet, their bond remained unbreakable, a love that weathered every storm.
Then, one fateful day, Edith's gentle spirit departed from this world, leaving Arthur behind, grieving and alone. With her passing, the house seemed to lose its soul, the rooms echoing with the emptiness of her absence.

Putting pieces of the Puzzle together the best I could, I believe that Arthur found himself adrift in a sea of memories, each one a bittersweet reminder of the life they had shared. He wandered through the rooms, tracing his fingers over photographs frozen in time, each a cherished relic of their love story.
But as Arthur mourned the loss of his beloved Edith, the world outside their home marched on, indifferent to his grief. The city, and it's bureaucracy placed a condemnation notice on their door,
And so, the house stood abandoned, a silent witness to the love that once filled its walls. The photographs faded the mementos gathering dust as if even the memories themselves were slowly slipping away.
But to me, it's still a mystery why they didn't want any of Edith's belongings. Perhaps it was the weight of sorrow that hung heavy in the air, too painful to comprehend. Or maybe it was the fear of confronting their own mortality, a reminder that love, no matter how deep, could still be lost to time.
But amidst the desolation, there was a beauty to be found, a reminder that even in the darkest of times, love endures. For Edith and Arthur, their legacy lived on in the hearts of those who knew them, a testament to the power of a love that transcends even death itself. And though their house may have stood empty, their spirits lingered on, forever intertwined in the tapestry of memories they had woven together.

Today we are exploring the abandoned Fukushima Japan. We decided to go back into the red zone and explore and abandoned hospital that really no one has ever seen before.
