Back to the Future is a 1985 American science fiction film directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by Zemeckis and Bob Gale. It stars Michael J. Going on a tour of Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Birds” locations, all found in and around San Francisco.
1) Union Square, at the corner of Geary and Powell streets. It’s the opening shot of the movie where we’re introduced to Melanie Daniels (Tippi Hedren)
2) Bay Hill road, the scenic drive Melanie takes to reach Bodega Bay.
3) The Tides Restaurant in Bodega Bay, site of the infamous bird assault on the town.
4) The Bodega Bay docks where Melanie Daniels rents a boat and is then pecked by a seagull.
5) The Potter School House, the “Bodega Bay School” in the movie, where the children are viciously attacked by the homocidal birds.

This is the concluding video for my 6 Part Filming Locations Tour. You will see Coney Island, the historic place they call home.
