Ambitious young New Yorker Beth (Alexis Bledel) wants it all: a good job, good friends and a good guy to share the city with. Described as the ‘Queen of Hip-Hop and RNB,’ Mary J. Blige is one of the most notable singers of the ‘90s, and of the present time, and today we venture inside the heart of California to explore her very own abandoned mansion. Built-in 2003, this marvelous estate boasts a 55-foot backyard pool, with a 75-foot tall waterfall spanning down the whole backyard,, not including the 10,000 square feet of living space the mansion holds inside. Mary Blige rented the property for a whopping price of $30,000 a month for various years and filmed various music videos inside such as ‘Last Night,’ featuring Diddy and Keyshia Cole. However after problems between Mary and her at the time husband Kendu Isaacs, the property was vacated, with no luck finding new tenants. However, this luxurious haven took a dramatic turn in recent years, becoming the backdrop for a different kind of film production – adult films. As we explored the property, we came across a stunning discovery; a pristine DeLorean hidden in a small secluded garage in the neighboring woods. Once a star in those films, this iconic car now gathers dust but remains untouched by vandals. Now, the home and property sits abandoned and has started to fall apart more and more by the day. There are few movies ever made that have the ability to bring me back to the time from which it came, like "a bolt of lightning." This is one of them. In this video you will see some of the Los Angeles filming locations seen in the 1984 comedy classic. Including: Axl's apartment, Rodeo Drive, the hotel where he checked in and out of with robes and without paying, the art gallery, Victor's office - where he gets thrown through the window, and the Beverly Hills Police Station.
This movie has a great cast of characters, a solid story and some of the best music in movie history. The soundtrack featuring Patti LaBelle, Glenn Frey and others along with the score by Harold Faltermeyer are legendary. It’s a one of a kind, very funny and hard hitting 80s flick.
This was my first Rated R movie. My parents had the VHS cassette hidden in a black case without a label on the top shelf haha. I remember the first time I saw the Opening truck chase and Inspector Todd locker room scenes... They definitely set the tone for this great movie.
