Unfortunately we did not get inside the mansion and we were not going to force our way in. But the 23,000 square foot mansion was good enough to explore the outside of.

In today’s episode we venture down south to an abandoned white marble mansion that to me resembles the White House in Washington DC. Built in 1983 by a man we’re going to call Mr.K. He was originally from Poland and moved to Canada in the 1950s with dreams of actually working in the United States. And he accomplished his dream moving to Alabama and starting up a hotel business that was very successful! In the 1970s he and his wife moved into a home that used to sit where the mansion sits now. They had planned on renovations and adding on to the other house but became an issue because of the extensive work the house needed. So in 1983 they tore down their house to rebuild their dream home. With Mr.K being from Europe and his wife being from Alabama they both had certain styles that they loved. And that’s how the design of this mansion came about. The mansion features 12,000 square feet of living space, 2 pools with one of them being indoors, well over 30 chandeliers, and a 2000 sqft master bedroom. Not to mention the crazy amount of marble and ornate trim above each entry way. In 2006 Mr.K passed away at the age of 93 and the mansion was sold off. The owner ship of the mansion changed several times until 2008 when the house was winterized and no one ever moved back in. So join us today and let’s see what’s left

now before you laugh or make fun of me, or just think I'm weird,
let me tell you what I mean by that first.
I don’t mean it in some fake, warm and fuzzy, sentimental kind of way.
And I’m not saying it just to be nice, or to look good, or to get you to like me.
What I mean is, at the very least, I only want what is good for you.
At the very most, I mean, i'll give myself, my life, in any way I can, for your good.
And I don’t care how I feel, or how I look, or what Im getting out of it,
or if I feel like it or not.
Love doesn't go this way.
Only this way.
And who are you?
Well you could be anyone.
my friend, my family, my spouse, person I like.
well thats easy, anyone can love the people they like.
What about the person I don't like, the person who doesn't like me, the person nobody likes,
what about the person I totally disagree with, the person who's completely different from me, there person I want to hate, the person everyone hates, the person who repulses me.
DOESN'T matter.
Love doesn't pick and choose who to love, just like the sun doesn’t pick and choose who to shine on, it just shines.
And what is your good?
Well it's all those little things that are gonna help us find the one thing that we all want, that we’re all searching for,
happiness.
as much as we can find here in this life, but more importantly, the full happiness that we can only find in the next life.
and I'll love you no matter what you do,
but that doesn't mean I’m going to love everything you do.
Love has to be tough, sometimes even fierce.
If you do anything that's gonna harm, impede, poison, delay or divert your good,
or the good of anyone else's,
I have to stand against it, not you.
Even if it's awkward, even if it's unpopular, even if it's gonna turn you against me,
for a little while.
But even when love is tough,
Love is always patient.
That's why we have a whole lifetime.
love is always gentle, kind, tender, loving,
never pushy, preachy, pointing fingers, rigid or mean.
and I don’t care what you’ve done, or how big you've screwed up, or how vast our differences are, or if your life is a giant, global sized disaster.
love is bigger than all these things.

The Friday The 13th (1980) filming locations of Camp Crystal Lake Tours at Camp No-Be-Sco-Cho in Hardwick, New Jersey. This is my experience of the Friday The 13th filming locations 40 years later! I am a huge fan of the FT13 series and I couldn’t think of a more better place to spend my Halloween then with Mrs. Voorhees & Crazy Ralph at the original Camp Blood! There is much ahead! This is definitely a bucklist item for me.

Band of Brothers Filming Locations Then and Now
Band of Brothers was a ground breaking mini-series from Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks released on HBO in 2001. Filming took place mostly in England during 2000 and one of the locations that features heavily in Episode 1 and 3 is the village of Hambleden in Buckinghamshire. Hambleden was used to represent the village of Albourne in Wiltshire, the wartime home of the Band of Brothers prior to their jump into the Netherlands for Operation Market Garden.
In this episode of WW2 Wayfinder, I travel to Hambleden and look at the locations used during the filming of Band of Brothers, and talk through some of the key scenes an travel around the area to find more notable locations used in the filming of Band of Brothers.
