This movie directed by Alexei Balabanov and starring Sergei Bodrov Jr. became a cult classic in Russia and has also left an impression on a lot of Westerners. Taken (also titled 96 Hours and The Hostage) is a 2008 English-language French action-thriller film directed by Pierre Morel from a story written by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen. It stars Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace, Katie Cassidy, Famke Janssen, Leland Orser and Holly Valance. In the film, Bryan Mills is an ex-CIA officer who sets to track down his teenage daughter Kim and her best friend Amanda after they are kidnapped by Albanian human traffickers while travelling in France during a vacation.

We "cut loose" in Utah visiting the filming locations from the 1984 classic movie Footloose starring Kevin Bacon. Footloose was filmed in Payson, American Fork and Lehi, Utah. We had such a blast tracking down the filming sites for one of our favorite 80's movies.

OBSCURIST TOURIST 036 - If you're a fan of the 1983 Christmas classic "A Christmas Story,” then you won't be disappointed by this video - unless, of course, you're looking for an inside look at the actual house used from the movie. If that's the case, you'll be very disappointed ... because I wasn't able to get down to Cleveland for a visit. I had a trip planned back in March, but that all went to hell in a hand basket thanks to the pandemic and closer borders. Next year, I promise!

For now, here's a look at all the filming locations in Toronto for some of the most memorable scenes in "A Christmas Story." The school from the movie is located in St. Catherine’s, Ontario, but it was converted into a women’s shelter a few years back.

Discovering the locations of the film Rambo First Blood, film with Sylvester Stallone (John Rambo), Richard Crenna (Samuel Trautman), Brian Dennehy (Will Teasle), David Caruso
(Delegate Mitch) from 1982 by director Ted Kotcheff, based on a novel by David Morrell.
This short film of mine tells about my 2 trips taken in British Columbia (Canada) in 2010 and 2016, to discover the original locations of the film.
The film was almost entirely shot in Hope, but some scenes were also shot outside the country e.g. in Port Coquitlam, but always in British Columbia.
